BEIJING, Oct. 18 (Xinhua) -- The Pujiang Innovation Forum will be held in Shanghai from Oct. 29 to Nov. 1, the Ministry of Science and Technology (MST) announced at a press conference in Beijing on Wednesday.
Initiated in 2008, the Pujiang Innovation Forum is an annual event jointly organized by the MST and the municipal government of Shanghai.
The forum aims to build a platform for the exchanges on innovation and development. This year's forum will focus on innovation and development and supply-side structural reform in the new era.
Four "special forums" and 11 themed seminars will be held along with the opening ceremony and plenary session this year. A wide range of topics covering youth, innovation-driven development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Yangtze River Delta, green technology cooperation with Belt and Road countries, as well as finance, policy, industry and the future of science will be discussed at the forum.
The forum's country of honor this year is Portugal.
