BEIJING, Sept.30 (Xinhua) – Southwest China's Sichuan province plans to expand southbound transportation construction, according to the implementation opinions published by local government recently, Shanghai Securities News reported.
Sichuan plans to increase southbound railway lines from four to seven by 2020 and 12 by 2025, to increase southbound highway from eight to 12 by 2020 and to 17 by 2025, and put Tianfu International Airport into operation by 2020, according to the opinions paper.
Meanwhile, international aviation routes starting from Chengdu, capital of Sichuan province are expected to cover most countries to the south of China. by 2025, according to the opinions.
Sichuan also plans to further improve logistics as well as transportation efficiency and have closer economic and trade relationships with countries of southbound links by 2025. (Edited by Jiang Feifan, Niu Huizhe)
