BEIJING, Sept. 29 (Xinhua) -- South China's Guangzhou city saw its foreign trade with the countries along the Belt and Road routes amount to 180.67 billion U.S. dollars from 2013 to the first half of the year, according to Chen Jie, director of Guangzhou Municipal Commission of Commerce on Friday.
Chen said that as of the end of June 2018, Guangzhou-based enterprises had established a total of 165 enterprises (institutions) in 26 countries along the routes. The amount of the contracted investment by the local enterprises along the routes was 3.427 billion U.S. dollars, accounting for one fifth of the city's whole contracted outbound investment.
So far, Guangzhou has established good relations with 71 cities around the world. (Edited by Hu Pingchao, hupingchao@xinhua.org)
