BEIJING, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) -- Northwest China's Shaanxi Province invested a total of 90.03 million U.S. dollars in the countries and regions along the Belt and Road routes in the first half of the year, according to Shaanxi Provincial Department of Commerce.
Majority of the investment went to Kyrghyzstan, Malaysia and other countries and regions.
In the first half of the year, turnover of the Province's foreign contracted projects was 1.596 billion U.S. dollars. To be specific, turnover of the Province's foreign contracted projects in the countries and regions along the Belt and Road routes amounted to 1.084 billion U.S. dollars, accounting for 67.9 percent of total turnover of the Province's foreign contracted projects.
During the period, 18 new overseas investment enterprises were established by Shaanxi Province, with actual investment contributed by the Chinese side standing at 330 million U.S. dollars. The Province's overseas investment is mainly distributed in India, China's Hong Kong and other countries and regions, in fields such as PV, precision instruments, and business services.
