Born in Nanjing, east China’s Jiangsu province; graduated from the Department of Arabic, Beijing Foreign Studies University; worked at the Bureau of Foreign Affairs of Xinhua News Agency before becoming chief of the Cairo bureau in June 2015; was responsible mainly for major news events in Egypt including the cabinet reshuffle, the parliamentary election and Russian plane crash in Egypt; participated in reporting news on President Xi Jinping’s visit to Egypt.
