Professor and Ph.D supervisor of School of Public Policy and Management, Tsinghua University. Director of the Center for China Study at Tsinghua-CAS (the Chinese Academy of Sciences). Born on April 27, 1953. Hu received his master's degree from Beijing University of Science and Technology in 1984. He received his PhD in engineering from the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 1988.
