The economics minister for the German state of Thuringia Wolfgang Tiefensee inaugurated a joint German-Chinese institute for sensors in the eastern Chinese city of Nanjing along with representatives from politics and research.
Several German and Chinese research facilities, including the CiS Institute for Microsensorics in Erfurt, Germany, and the Southeastern University in Nanjing, initiated the establishment of the institute, said Thuringia’s Ministry of Economics in Erfurt.
The purpose behind the institute in Nanjing is the development of new types of sensors that can deployed in microelectronics, industrial applications or in the automobile industry.
