BEIJING, May 25 (Xinhua) -- The 5th China Beijing International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) will be held in Beijing from May 28 to June 1. Lithuania will attend the fair and display the Open Research and Development Lithuanian Network.
“China's economy has had a huge impact on European business and industries. We hope that this exhibition will showcase the technological potential of Lithuania and that innovative solutions will arouse interest in the Chinese market. We expect Chinese customers to provide various orders to our research institutions,” said Kęstutis Šetkus, director of Agency for Science, Innovation and Technology of Lithuania(MITA).
The Open Research and Development Lithuanian Network in charge by MITA has collected more than 2,500 services and provided services for scientific research and experimental development in biotechnology, laser technology, future energy, ICT, and marine science.
At present, members of the network have conducted cooperation with China’s famous enterprises like Huawei, BOE Technology Group Co. Scientists of the network have also carried out exchanges with Beijing University of Technology, Beijing University of Science and Technology and Ningbo University.
A total of 60 countries and regions will attend the 5th CIFTIS. This is the second time for Lithuania to participate in the fair. (Contributed by Zhang Chao; edited by Zhang Yuan, zhangyuan11@xinhua.org)
