China exported 94,349.1 tons of chicken meat and its products from January to March 2018, an increase of 9.1 percent year on year. The exports amounted to 326.5 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 13.1 percent year on year. The average price was 3,460.1 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of 3.7 percent year on year.
In March alone, China exported 33,025.4 tons of chicken meat and its products, an increase of 26.3 percent month on month. The exports amounted to 117.0 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 32.5 percent month on month. The average price was 3,542.3 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of 4.9 percent month on month. Compared with March 2017, there was a decrease of 0.6 percent in quantity, an increase of 7.5 percent in value, and an increase of 8.2 percent in average price.
In terms of export destination by continents, Asia imported 88,943.3 tons of chicken meat and its products from China from January to March 2018, an increase of 9.1 percent year on year, or 310.3 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 13.1 percent year on year, at an average price of 3,488.8 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of 3.7 percent year on year; Africa imported 109.2 tons, an increase of 103.8 percent year on year, or 196,866 U.S. dollars, an increase of 115.3 percent year on year, at an average price of 1,803.3 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of 5.6 percent year on year; Europe imported 4,963.6 tons, an increase of 10.6 percent year on year, or 15.3 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 15.2 percent year on year, at an average price of 3,072.6 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of 4.2 percent year on year; South America imported 129.9 tons, a decrease of 55.8 percent year on year, or 257,129 U.S. dollars, a decrease of 51.6 percent year on year, at an average price of 1,979.1 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of 9.4 percent year on year; North America imported 625 kilograms, or 2,149 U.S. dollars, at an average price of 3,438.4 U.S. dollars per ton, as compared with no export reported in the same period of last year; Oceania imported 202.5 tons, an increase of 43.7 percent year on year, or 436,546 U.S. dollars, an increase of 20.7 percent year on year, at an average price of 2,156.2 U.S. dollars per ton, a decrease of 16.0 percent year on year.
In March alone, Asia imported 31,533.7 tons of chicken meat and its products, an increase of 0.7 percent year on year, or 112.4 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 8.6 percent year on year, at an average price of 3,564.8 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of 7.8 percent year on year; Africa imported 18.3 tons, or 35,469 U.S. dollars, at an average price of 1,935.6 U.S. dollars per ton, as compared with no export reported in the same period of last year; Europe imported 1,384.0 tons, a decrease of 21.8 percent year on year, or 4.3 million U.S. dollars, a decrease of 12.3 percent year on year, at an average price of 3,124.3 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of 12.2 percent year on year; South America imported 20.0 tons, a decrease of 84.8 percent year on year, or 65,378 U.S. dollars, a decrease of 76.9 percent year on year, at an average price of 3,267.6 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of 52.1 percent year on year; Oceania imported 69.4 tons, an increase of 164.5 percent year on year, or 150,152 U.S. dollars, an increase of 115.6 percent year on year, at an average price of 2,164.4 U.S. dollars per ton, a decrease of 18.5 percent year on year.
Among all the countries and regions that imported chicken meat and its products from China from January to March 2018, in terms of value, Japan ranked first with 185.5 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 18.7 percent year on year; Hong Kong ranked second with 88.8 million U.S. dollars, a decrease of 5.4 percent year on yea; Malaysia ranked third with 9.7 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 27,467.2 percent year on year.
In March alone, Japan ranked first with 67.2 million U.S. dollars in March 2018, an increase of 12.9 percent year on year; Hong Kong ranked second with 34.2 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 1.6 percent year on year; Macao ranked third with 2.9 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 51.9 percent year on year.
