China exported 1,639.5 tons of flavoured tea from January to March 2018, an increase of 14.9 percent year on year. The value of China's flavoured tea exports amounted to 14.9 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 53.2 percent year on year. The average price was 9,096.1 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of 33.3 percent year on year.
In March alone, China exported 491.6 tons of flavoured tea, a decrease of 13.2 percent month on month. The exports amounted to 3.9 million U.S. dollars, a decrease of 10.2 percent month on month. The average price was 7,861.2 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of 3.4 percent month on month. Compared with March 2017, there was a decrease of 9.5 percent in quantity, a decrease of 1.4 percent in value, and an increase of 9.0 percent in average price.
Among all the countries and regions that imported flavoured tea from China from January to March 2018, in terms of value, Japan ranked first with 3.9 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 103.6 percent year on year; the United States ranked second with 3.0 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 29.9 percent year on year; Hong Kong ranked third with 2.1 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 273.8 percent year on year.
In March alone, Japan ranked first with 1.1 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 96.4 percent year on year; Malaysia ranked second with 729,704 U.S. dollars, an increase of 80.8 percent year on year; the United States ranked third with 588,903 U.S. dollars, a decrease of 35.0 percent year on year.
