China exported 110,908.4 tons of poultry meat and its products from January to March 2018, an increase of 9.1 percent year on year. The exports amounted to 378.8 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 12.4 percent year on year. The average price was 3,415.1 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of three percent year on year.
In March alone, China exported 39,452.9 tons of poultry meat and its products, an increase of 26.0 percent month on month. The exports amounted to 136.5 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 29.9 percent month on month. The average price was 3,459.7 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of 3.1 percent month on month. Compared with March 2017, there was an increase of 0.4 percent in quantity, an increase of seven percent in value, and an increase of 6.6 percent in average price.
In terms of export destination by continents, Asia imported 102,182.4 tons of poultry meat and its products from January to March 2018, an increase of 9.6 percent year on year, or 351.2 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 13.2 percent year on year, at an average price of 3,437.0 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of 3.2 percent year on year; Africa imported 188.8 tons, an increase of 237.7 percent year on year, or 397,129 U.S. dollars, an increase of 313.7 percent year on year, at an average price of 2,103.8 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of 22.5 percent year on year; Europe imported 8,126.3 tons, an increase of 3.2 percent year on year, or 26.2 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 2.8 percent year on year, at an average price of 3,226.1 U.S. dollars per ton, a decrease of 0.5 percent year on year; South America imported 130.1 tons, a decrease of 55.7 percent year on year, or 257,777 U.S. dollars, a decrease of 51.5 percent year on year, at an average price of 1,980.6 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of 9.5 percent year on year; North America imported 32.4 tons, an increase of 418.5 percent year on year, or 147,456 U.S. dollars, an increase of 313.4 percent year on year, at an average price of 4,557.4 U.S. dollars per ton, a decrease of 20.3 percent year on year; Oceania imported 248.4 tons, an increase of 22.8 percent year on year, or 550,783 U.S. dollars, a decrease of 0.9 percent year on year, at an average price of 2,217.1 U.S. dollars per ton, a decrease of 19.3 percent year on year.
In March alone, Asia imported 36,889.9 tons of poultry meat and its products, an increase of three percent year on year, or 127.9 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 9.4 percent year on year, at an average price of 3,467.6 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of 6.1 percent year on year; Africa imported 45.4 tons, or 90,597 U.S. dollars, at an average price of 1,993.9 U.S. dollars per ton; Europe imported 2,408.3 tons, a decrease of 27.4 percent year on year, or 8.2 million U.S. dollars, a decrease of 19.2 percent year on year, at an average price of 3,405.6 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of 11.4 percent year on year; South America imported 20.0 tons, a decrease of 84.8 percent year on year, or 65,378 U.S. dollars, a decrease of 76.9 percent year on year, at an average price of 3,267.6 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of 52.1 percent year on year; North America imported 9.1 tons, or 44,872 U.S. dollars, at an average price of 4,920.2 U.S. dollars per ton; Oceania imported 80.0 tons, an increase of 113.2 percent year on year, or 171,994 U.S. dollars, an increase of 40.9 percent year on year, at an average price of 2,149.5 U.S. dollars per ton, a decrease of 33.9 percent year on year.
Among all the countries and regions that imported poultry meat and its products from China from January to March 2018, in terms of value, Japan ranked first with 191.7 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 17.9 percent year on year; Hong Kong ranked second with 114.3 million U.S. dollars, a decrease of 2.4 percent year on year; Macao ranked third with 12.0 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 51.9 percent year on year.
In March alone, Japan ranked first with 69.3 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 13.1 percent year on year; Hong Kong ranked second with 43.7 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 2.5 percent year on year; Macao ranked third with 3.98 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 37.0 percent year on year.
