China imported 8,582.2 tons of brandy from January to March 2018, an increase of 19.5 percent year on year. The imports amounted to 216.5 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 38.1 percent year on year. The average price was 25,228.6 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of 15.6 percent year on year.
In March alone, China imported 2,584.5 tons of brandy, an increase of 32.6 percent month on month. The imports amounted to 68.8 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 64.9 percent month on month. The average price was 26,621.5 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of 24.3 percent month on month. Compared with March 2017, there was a decrease of 6.4 percent in quantity, an increase of 32.4 percent in value, and an increase of 41.5 percent in average price.
In terms of import origin by continents, Asia exported 52.7 tons of brandy from January to March 2018, an increase of 712.4 percent year on year, or 163,813 U.S. dollars, an increase of 444.9 percent year on year, at an average price of 3,106.4 U.S. dollars per ton, a decrease of 32.9 percent year on year; Africa exported 710 kilograms, a decrease of 67.4 percent year on year, or 12,426 U.S. dollars, a decrease of 70.0 percent year on year, at an average price of 17,501.4 U.S. dollars per ton, a decrease of 8.1 percent year on year; Europe exported 8,520.6 tons, an increase of 19.6 percent year on year, or 216.3 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 38.1 percent year on year, at an average price of 25,381.3 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of 15.5 percent year on year; South America exported 4.9 tons, an increase of 649.5 percent year on year, or 31,282 U.S. dollars, an increase of 508.4 percent year on year, at an average price of 6,323.4 U.S. dollars per ton, a decrease of 18.8 percent year on year; Oceania exported 3.2 tons, an increase of 25.3 percent year on year, or 43,874 U.S. dollars, an increase of 251.7 percent year on year, at an average price of 13,893.0 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of 180.6 percent year on year.
In March alone, Asia exported 12.4 tons of brandy, an increase of 97.1 percent year on year, or 57,130 U.S. dollars, an increase of 139.8 percent year on year, at an average price of 4,590.6 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of 21.7 percent year on year; Europe exported 2,569.6 tons, a decrease of 6.7 percent year on year, or 68.7 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 32.4 percent year on year, at an average price of 26,745.4 U.S. dollars per ton, an increase of 41.8 percent year on year; South America exported 1.4 tons, an increase of 713.6 percent year on year, or 8,396 U.S. dollars, an increase of 109.9 percent year on year, at an average price of 5,830.6 U.S. dollars per ton, a decrease of 74.2 percent year on year; Oceania exported 1.0 ton, or 12,484 U.S. dollars, at an average price of 12,384.9 U.S. dollars per ton.
Among all the countries and regions that exported brandy to China from January to March 2018, in terms of value, France ranked first with 215.2 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 38.2 percent year on year; Spain ranked second with 257,756 U.S. dollars, an increase of 202.3 percent year on year; Georgia ranked third with 193,144 U.S. dollars, an increase of 27.2 percent year on year.
In March alone, France ranked first with 68.3 million U.S. dollars, an increase of 32.0 percent year on year; Georgia ranked second with 147,434 U.S. dollars, an increase of 702.9 percent year on year; Lithuania ranked third with 135,374 U.S. dollars.
