BEIJING, May 4 (Xinhua) -- International brand research agency Brand Finance released the latest ranking for the brand value of about 30 global airline companies, Russian media reported recently.
According to the report, China Southern Airlines, China Eastern Airlines and Air China are among the top ten, ranking sixth, seventh and ninth, respectively.
Both China Southern Airlines and China Eastern Airlines rank higher than in 2017, and the ranking of Air China stays unchanged.
The survey showed that the brand value of China Southern Airlines increased by 10 percent to 4.1 billion U.S. dollars, while that of China Eastern Airlines and Air China rose to 3.8 billion U.S. dollars and 3.4 billion U.S. dollars respectively.
According to reports, the total value of all Chinese brands in the ranking is 16.1 trillion U.S. dollars, accounting for 16 percent of the total value of all airline brands on the list.
The five most valuable airline brands are American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, Emirates Airlines, and Southwest Airlines.
