BEIJING, May 4 (Xinhua) -- Nearly 500,000 Chinese tourists visited Cambodia in the first quarter of the year, up 80 percent year on year, according to the Ministry of Tourism of Cambodia.
In the first quarter of the year, Cambodia received a total of 1.6 million foreign tourists.
The Ministry of Tourism estimated that the total number of Chinese tourists was expected to reach 1.8 million to 2 million in the full year of 2018.
In 2017, the number of the Chinese tourists visiting Cambodia was 1.2 million, making China the largest tourist source country of Cambodia. (Edited by Hu Pingchao, hupingchao@xinhua.org)
