BEIJING, May 3 (Xinhua) -- China imported 238.4 tonnes of tequila from January to March, 2018, down 10 percent year on year, according to a monthly report jointly released by Xinhua Silk Road and China Chamber of Commerce of Foodstuffs and Native Produce (CFNA).
The value of China's tequila imports amounted to 1.233 million U.S. dollars during the period, down 13.2 percent on year.
In March alone, China imported 95.6 tonnes of tequila, down 16.8 percent on year.
From January to March, 2018, among all the countries and regions that export tequila to China, Mexico ranked the first by 1.219 million U.S. dollars in value of tequila, down 13.2 percent year on year followed by Spain and France.
