BEIJING, Apr. 3 (Xinhua) -- China imported 1,010.2 tonnes of vodka from January to February, 2018, an increase of 29.1 percent year on year, according to a monthly report jointly released by Xinhua Silk Road and China Chamber of Commerce of Foodstuffs and Native Produce (CFNA).
The value of China's vodka imports amounted to 2.869 million U.S. dollars during the period, an increase of 39.8 percent on year.
In February alone, China imported 374.6 tonnes of vodka, up 1.3 percent on year, with value standing at 1.109 million U.S. dollars, up 8.7 percent year on year.
From January to February, 2018, among all the countries and regions that export vodka to China, Sweden ranked the first by 1.177 million U.S. dollars in value of vodka, up 92.1 percent year on year followed by France and the United Kingdom (UK).
In February, 2018, France ranked first with a value of 328,000 U.S. dollars, followed by Sweden and the UK. (Edited by Niu Huizhe, niuhuizhe@xinhua.org)
