CHENGDU, Mar. 26 (Xinhua) -- Luzhou Laojiao, a well-known Chinese baijiu producer, unveiled a white paper on its product quality and safety on Sunday.
According to the white paper, in 2017, Luzhou Laojiao took measures to ensure food quality and safety through “multi-system linkage, three-dimensional management and control, and all-round cooperation”, and achieved 100-percent qualification rate in product tests by China Food and Drug Administration.
In 2017, Luzhou Laojiao established more than 200 corporate standards stricter than the national standards. It meanwhile reinforced the “three-level quality and safety supervision mechanism” involving the production units, the quality control teams and the on-site inspection teams, and introduced the near infrared online monitoring in key processes, an important step towards smart production.

In the past year, the company organized a global cultural tour and cooperated with more than ten countries along the Belt and Road routes, such as Thailand, Singapore, Myanmar, Cambodia, and Laos to effectively promote “going global” of the Chinese baijiu, according to the white paper.

Luzhou Laojiao’s move to demonstrate its product quality and safety over the past year in the form of the white paper shows its confidence on brand, quality, technology and management level, said Song Quanhou, vice president of the China National Research Institute of Food and Fermentation Industries.
Luzhou Laojiao sets a good example in the industry to constantly improve quality and safety control and drive common development of the whole industry, which shows its responsibility as a leading player among the Luzhou baijiu producers, according to Ma Zonghui, Deputy Mayor of Luzhou city.
