BEIJING, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- Power Construction Corporation of China (Powerchina) has recently entered into an agreement with the Economic Development and Investment Authority of Sabah on a comprehensive reclamation development project in Semporna, Sabah, said a report from sina.com.cn.
With an area of 42 acres and a total construction period of 48 months, the EPC project involves the design and construction of infrastructure including administrative and tourism centers, harbors and harbor facilities, luxury and comfort hotels, business and shopping centers and mosques.
Semporna, a county of Sabah surrounded by seawater, means "perfect island" in Malay. The project will further promote local economic development and speed up the building of Semporna into a renowned undersea world tourism centre.
