PHNOM PENH, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- China donated nine types of medical equipment and devices to the Preah Ket Mealea Hospital here on Monday, officials said.
They included a CT scanner for cardiac, brain or peripheral vascular examination, four anesthesia machines, blood pressure monitors, ventilators, among others, according to the hospital's director.
The director said China has also sent its medical experts to train Cambodian doctors on how to operate those equipment and devices.
"These high-tech medical equipment will be used for diagnosing diseases such as brain tumors, cerebral infarction, cerebral aneurysms, cerebrovascular accidental diseases, and vascular diseases," he said.
"I believe that the equipment will further enhance the quality of medical services in our hospital," he added.
