BEIJING, Jan. 24 (Xinhua) -- China’s insurance premium income reached 3.66 trillion yuan (569.43 billion dollars) in 2017, up 18.16 percent over the same period of last year, according to the statistics released by China Insurance Regulatory Commission, the country’s top insurance regulator.
The operation balance for insurance companies went up 11.42 percent to hit 14.92 trillion yuan (2322.6 billion dollars) during the period, of which stocks and securities investment funds reached 1.84 trillion yuan (285.7billion dollars), accounting for 12.3 percent of the total.
Meanwhile, the operation income for insurance companies reached 835.213 billion yuan(130 billion dollars) in 2017, up 18.12 percent year on year, of which the yields of bond and stock reached 208.698 billion yuan and 118.398 billion yuan respectively, up 11.07 percent and 355.46 percent year on year respectively.
