BEIJING, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) -- China’s Shaanxi province achieved an import and export value of 32.37 billion yuan with the countries and regions along the Belt and Road routes in 2017, up 39.8 percent year on year, accounting for 11.9 percent of the province’s total import and export value.
To be specific, its exports and imports with the above countries and regions amounted to 27 billion yuan and 5.37 billion yuan, up 49.8 percent and 4.8 percent year on year, respectively.
Last year, exports of the province’s vehicles and apple juice to those B&R countries and regions stood at 1.54 billion yuan and 330 million yuan, up 100 percent and 72.8 percent year on year, respectively.
Besides, Shaanxi's international economic cooperation, including foreign contracted projects, soared to boost its goods trade with B&R countries and regions.
In 2017, the total goods export value of Shaanxi for foreign contracted projects was 3.97 billion yuan, up 220 percent year on year, with exports of 3.78 billion yuan to B&R countries, up 530 percent year on year.
Central Asia has become a key trade partner of Shaanxi along the the Belt and Road. In 2017, Shaanxi achieved total imports and exports of 690 million yuan with Central Asia, up 100 percent year on year, with the exports of 580 million yuan and imports of 110 million yuan, up 84.6 percent and 320 percent year on year, respectively.
