BEIJING, Jan.16 (Xinhua) -- Suning Commerce Group Co., Ltd announced on January 14 that it plans to set “Suning.com” as the company’s new name, the Xinhua-run cs.com.cn reported on Monday.
Suning said the company achieved prominent effects in transformation in 2017. It integrated Internet technologies and resources into its offline channels while developing its online business, and upgraded its offline business types, thus accomplishing O2O operation, creating its smart retail model, and gradually unifying its online and offline channels and business types into the all-scene Internet retail platform-“Suning.com”.
To further highlight Suning's primary business--retail, display the connotation of smart retail and show the effects of transformation, the company plans to upgrade “Suning.com” as its corporate name. The adjustment will accelerate boosting the brand popularity and reputation of “Suning. com”.
According to the earnings forecast amendment released on January 13, the company achieved net profit of 4.122 billion yuan to 4.222 billion yuan in the whole year of 2017, up 485.13 percent to 499.32 percent year on year. (Edited by Ma Xin, maxin11@xinhua.org)
