BOAO, Hainan, Dec. 12 (Xinhua) -- China Economic Information Service (CEIS) and TCC Business Center signed a cooperation agreement at the 2017 Boao Forum for Entrepreneurs on December 12, aiming to provide one-stop services for investment and trade of Chinese and Thai enterprises.

Xu Yuchang, chairman of the board and president of CEIS and Chen Zhenzhi (Thai name: Jitti Tangsithpakdi), president of the Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce (TCC) attended the signing ceremony on behalf of respective sides.

TCC Business Center established by TCC is Thailand's only general service enterprise committed to promoting cooperation of local governments, institutions and enterprises of China and Thailand.

Under the agreement, CEIS and TCC Business Center will carry out all-dimension cooperation in information exchange, enterprise cooperation, enterprise incubation and other fields, and provide intensive and individualized one-stop services to Chinese institutions and enterprises investing in Thailand and vice versa.

Xu Yuchang said that the cooperation with TCC Business Center is a practical move of CEIS to push forward the Belt and Road construction, provide services for Chinese enterprises to do business overseas and bring in foreign enterprises. The two sides will exploit resources of both sides to broaden channels for China's investment in Thailand and Thailand's investment in China.

With the steady advancement of the Belt and Road construction, China-Thailand’s economic and trade contacts have entered a new stage. However, China's cumulative investment in Thailand only stays above than 30 billion U.S. dollars, far less than the investment of Japan, EU, U.S. and Singapore in Thailand.

An important reason for the phenomenon is that Chinese enterprises have little knowledge of Thailand's investment policies, environment, and opportunities. Thailand's complex examination and approval procedures have also turned away the Chinese enterprises that intend to invest in Thailand, said Chen Zhenzhi.

"TCC Business Center was established to advance the Belt and Road Initiative, and will play a significant role in promoting Thailand-China economic, trade and people-to-people exchanges as a major platform for connecting the initiative to Thailand 4.0," said Chen, adding that the center will transfer the reliable, timely and practical economic and investment information of Thailand to Chinese enterprises through CEIS, and exploit the political, economic and social influence of TCC accumulated over the past century, to provide convenience for Chinese enterprises' investment in Thailand.

Based on the capacity of the Xinhua News Agency for global economic information collection and processing, Xinhua Silk Road of CEIS provides all-dimension and full-process one-stop online and offline services including investment environment analysis, due diligence, demand connection, brand shaping, enterprise credit inquiry and public opinion monitoring for Chinese enterprises to global and foreign enterprises come to China. At present, its service covers more than 40 countries along the Belt and Road.

The 2017 Boao Forum for Enterprises, hosted by CEIS and Xinhuanet.com, is held in Boao, Hainan Province from December 12 to 13, 2017. Themed in "Cooperation and Win-win Solution: Seizing the New Opportunity of the Belt and Road", the forum has brought together domestic and foreign governments, enterprises and non-governmental organizations, as well as world-renowned business elitists, experts and scholars, to explore the opportunities brought by the Belt and Road to China and the world.
