Cargo railway inking Finland and China opens -- With more than 40 containers on it, the cargo train bound for Chinese inland city of Xi'an departed Kouvola, southeastern Finland, on No.10. It will take 17 days to run 9,000 km to cross the Eurasia continent, passing through countries including Russia and Kazakhstan, before reaching its final destination of the northwest China's Xi'an, one of the oldest cities in China.
Jinan-Moscow flight to open in December -- Jinan, capital of east China's Shandong Province, will begin flights to Moscow in December. Jinan Yaoqiang International Airport said the route will open on December 15.
China, Russia to build first cross-border passenger cableway -- China and Russia will build a cableway across river on their shared border to promote tourism and facilitate border crossing between the two countries, the Chinese investor announced on November 14. The cableway will cross the Heilongjiang River, known in Russia as the Amur River, linking Heihe in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province with Blagoveshchensk in Russia.
First trial freight train from China arrives in Slovakia -- The first trial freight train from China arrived at the cargo port in Bratislava, the capital city of Slovakia on November 13. The train's journey from the Chinese city of Dalian via Russia and Ukraine to Slovakia lasted 17 days. It is carrying goods worth over three million US dollars in 41 containers destined for customers throughout Central Europe.
Chinese-made aircraft delivered to Pacific Island nation -- A Chinese-made Y-12E aircraft was delivered to the Federated States of Micronesia, an island nation on the Western Pacific, on November 10. The aircraft was manufactured by AVIC Harbin Aircraft Industry Group Co., Ltd.
"It will be used for cargo transport, rescue and medical services in Micronesia," said Liu Huinan, deputy chief engineer at the company.
China, Malaysia to jointly groom railway expertise -- China Communications Construction Company Ltd (CCCC) signed an agreement with Malaysian partners on a joint railway expertise training program to facilitate Malaysia's railway development. The training program, which is sponsored by CCCC and operated by Malaysia Rail Link Company and Universiti Malaysia Pahang, would nurture skilled workers for Malaysia's East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) and to be in the country's rapid ilway development.
CNPC signs MoU with Cheniere Energy -- China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) had signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Cheniere Energy Inc. for cooperation in long-term LNG sales and purchase. Under the MoU, CNPC will strengthen cooperation with Cheniere Energy in the LNG project in the Gulf of Mexico. In addition, it will play a significant role in promoting long-term cooperation between China and the United States in LNG purchase business.
COSCO to build international bonded logistics park in Egypt -- The General Authority for Suez Canal Economic Zone, COSCO Shipping Lines (Europe) GmbH and China-Africa TEDA Investment Co., Ltd. jointly signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation in investment. Under the MoU, COSCO will build a 130,000-square-meter international bonded logistics park in China-Egypt TEDA Suez Economic and Trade Cooperation Zone.
