KIEV, Oct. 18 (Xinhua) -- The Ukrainian government has approved the country's cooperation program with the United Nations (UN) for 2018-2022, the cabinet's press service said Wednesday in a statement.
Under the initiative named Ukraine-UN Partnership Framework, Kiev plans to attract about 675 million U.S. dollars from the organization in the next five years to finance a string of development projects in Ukraine.
In particular, the UN assistance would be directed to such areas as economic development, environment protection, employment, social protection, citizens' safety and others.
The Ukraine-UN Partnership Framework is set to be signed by Ukrainian First Deputy Prime Minister Stepan Kubiv and the UN representatives next week. It will replace the previous cooperation program, which has expired in 2016.
