BEIJING, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) - China State Construction Engineering Corporation Limited (CSCEC Ltd ) (601668.SH) announced Thursday evening that it has won a 2.7-billion-US dollar project on construction of the new capital city of Egypt, marking another key project of "the Belt and Road" construction.
CSCEC Ltd and the Egyptian government have inked a package contract on construction of the new capital city on Thursday.
Under the terms of agreement, CSCEC will construct Egypt national conference center, parliament house, exhibition city, and office building for 12 government authorities with construction period lasting for three years.
The new capital city is expected to become the new political and financial center of Egypt. (Edited by Li Xiaohui, lixh@xinhua.org)
