JAKARTA, Aug. 21 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia is expecting to get Chinese investments in developing the country's northern regions, an official said.
Ridwan Djamaluddin, deputy coordinating minister for maritime affairs for infrastructure, told Xinhua recently that Indonesia has submitted an integrated regional development projects at the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation held in China in May.
The proposed projects were located in North Sumatra, North Kalimantan and North Sulawesi provinces plus another one in the Bali province, he said.
"As Indonesia's development focus is now shifted from Java to outside Java, the cooperation offered for the investors were based on business-to-business scheme," he said.
But the option of government-to-government scheme on negotiation basis was still open for huge amount of investments, Ridwan added.
Ridwan added that the government would provide full support for the investors carrying out the projects in the designated sites, including incentives, simplified regulation, land acquisition settlement and working permit.
"We would also tell regional administration to fully support them as well so as to create business-friendly environs for them," he added. Enditem
