KATHMANDU, July 14 (Xinhua) -- The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has granted approval to China's Tibet Airlines to conduct four flights a day on the Chengdu-Kathmandu route, an official of the CAAN said.
Subhash Jha, deputy director at CAAN, told Xinhua on Friday that the aviation authority approved the scheduled flight plan from July 20.
Once the Tibet Airlines starts China-Nepal flights, it will be the fifth Chinese airlines entering into the Nepali market.
According to Nepali government officials, increased flight connectivity with China is expected to bring more Chinese tourists to Nepal.
Chinese tourist arrivals jumped 55.26 percent to 104,005 in 2016. Enditem
