TEHRAN, July 11 (Xinhua) -- Iran and Italy signed three agreements on Tuesday to develop Iran's high-speed railroad technology, official IRNA news agency reported.
The first agreement, worth 1.36 billion U.S. dollars, pertains to the designing and construction of a high-speed railroad between the two Iranian central cities of Qom and Arak.
The two other deals, which involve Iran University of Science and Technology, is on setting up relevant scientific and training courses in Iran by the Italian companies.
In February, Iran and Italy signed a preliminary agreement to develop the railroad system of the Islamic state, in which Italy will provide up to 5 billion euros (5.71 billion dollars) in export credits to Tehran. Enditem
