YANGON, April 22 (Xinhua) -- Singapore stood as Myanmar's annual largest overseas investor with 3.82 billion U.S. dollars in the last fiscal year 2016-2017 which ended in March, official media reported Saturday.
Singapore was followed by Vietnam with 1.38 billion U.S. dollars and China with 482.59 million dollarsThailand with 423.058 million dollars and China's Hong Kong with 213.7 million dollars.
Overseas investments mostly went into transport and communication sector with 3.08 billion U.S. dollars in the 2016-2017 fiscal year. Other most invested sectors included manufacturing, power, real estate, hotel and tourism, livestock and fisheries and other services.
The country attracted a total of 6.874 billion U.S. dollars of overseas investment in the fiscal year 2016-2017. Enditem
