Singapore urban, industrial and infrastructure consulting firm Surbana Jurong said Wednesday it had formed a joint venture (JV) with China Highway Engineering Consulting Corp to provide design and consultancy services for highway and municipal projects.
The venture, China Highway-Surbana Jurong Transportation Design and Research Co, is 51 percent owned by China Highway and 49 percent owned by Surbana Jurong, according to a press release sent to the Global Times.
The JV aims to capture a bigger slice of the infrastructure pie, as global infrastructure spending is expected to grow to $9 trillion per year by 2025, and close to $78 trillion in total is expected to be spent from 2014-25, it said.
