LJUBLJANA, March 6 (Xinhua) -- The Slovenian-Serbian Business Association has been established in Ljubljana in early March, to promote the economic cooperation and exchange of good practices between the two countries.
The association will strive to establish connections, business cooperation and integration between its members, the Slovenian Press Agency (STA) quoted a press release circulated on Monday as saying.
The association is presided by Goran Medic, CEO of Serbian-owned soft drinks maker Fructal, who has lived in Slovenia for more than five years. He previously held managerial positions in Serbia and the region for more than a decade.
"During my career I realized that there is a lack of structure in establishing ties and business cooperation between subjects in the region," Medic said, indicating the important role of the association in future.
The first meeting of the association was addressed by Serbian Ambassador to Slovenia Aleksandar Radovanovic, who forecast that the association will make a significant contribution to the business cooperation between the two countries. Enditem
