Foundation concreting for the first heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) of Jordan Hussein APZ project, a combined-cycle power plant, has been completed on Dec. 27, 2016.
The project is an EPC project of Power Construction Corporation of China (PowerChina) and its wholly-owned subsidiary SEPCOIII Electric Power Construction Corporation, which, as a whole, signed contracts for the project with its investor ACWA Power on August 19, 2016.
Its designed installed generating capacity is 485 MW and will be put into production from December 1, 2017 and handed over to its owner on June 1, 2018. The government of Jordan invited bidding for the project.
As the third EPC project in Jordan, the project represented SEPCOIII’s efforts to echo the Belt and Road Initiative and follow its parent company PowerChina’s paces in developing overseas business.
