China ENFI Engineering Co., a subsidiary of Metallurgical Corporation of China Ltd. concluded a contract with NFC Africa Mining Plc on integrated information and automatic control systems for the Chambishi copper mine in Zambia in mid December.
The project consists of two programs, of which one is an automation and power system control and reconstruction project for the main and west ore body and the other is a program of integrated information and automatic control system for the southeast ore body.
The project is dedicated to integrating the present scattered ore automation systems and remote telecontrol systems of trackless equipment in mining areas, so as to improve mining safety.
The data of the project will be connected to the “China Mining Innovation Center”, jointly established by China ENFI and the National Supercomputer Center in Tianjin, to provide assistance for promoting industrial informatization.
The project is expected to be put into operation from June 2018.
