Leading oil and gas producer and supplier China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC) has negotiated with Pakistan on the terms of a gas pipeline construction project and may reach a deal worth $2 billion in February, Hong Kong-based news outlet etnet.com.cn reported Thursday.
CNPC declined to comment when contacted by the Global Times.
Media reports said that the pipeline will transfer gas from Iran's south to Gwadar Port, Pakistan.
