NANJING, July 7 (Xinhua) -- China's graphene industry is at the zone of "relative boom" and the application of the graphene product is gradually upgrading to the stage of "optimizing" from "production", according to the China Graphene Business ClimateIndex unveiled in Changzhou, East China's Jiangsu Province on Wednesday.
The China Graphene Industry Business Climate Index, compiled by China Economic Information Service (CEIS), was announced at the 2017 World Graphene Innovation Conference held in Changzhou, home to China's first national graphene industrial base, the Changzhou Graphene Science and Technology Industrial Park.
The Changzhou Graphene Science and Technology Industrial Park is expected to generate an annual output value of 30 billion yuan within three years.
According to the 2016-2017 China Graphene Development Report released at the same day, China's graphene industry has passed the stage of "planning". Although the production of the majority of grapheme products is limited, they are currently at thestage of "production" (second level) or "mass production"(third level).
Of various graphene products, graphene heat radiation and painting products are at the level of "optimization"(fourth level) but graphene composite material, graphene biology and nanomaterial are still at the level of "planning"(first level). The industry is lacking products that are at the level of "leading" (fifth level).
There are currently over 100 graphene companies in Changzhou, with a complete industrial chain that consists of equipment R&D, raw material production and application research, production and downstream application.
The city is also home to the world's first graphene research institute, the world's first 100 tonnes/year graphene powder production line, the world's first 30,000-square-meter CVD graphene transparent conductive film production line. (Edited by Huang Xiaolan, huangxiaolan@xinhua.org)
