BEIJING,Dec. 23 (Xinhua) -- The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) is improve the supervision scheme for electric vehicle (EV) safety and EV standard system, raise the threshold for EV enterprises and products, and implement financial and taxation polices for EV in a bid to promote sustainablehealthy development of EV industry.
China's EV industry developed fast in recent years. According to statistics from MIIT, China's EV output hiked 59 percent on year to 427,000 units and sales up 60.4 percent on year to 402,000 units in January-November of 2016.
The increasing popularity of EV in common people has put up the demand for EVsafety supervision.
MIIT will strengthen quality supervision during and after EV production, and establish dynamic adjusting scheme for the industrial standard, threshold and subsidizing policies. Enditem (Edited byLi Xiaohui, lixh@xinhua.org)
