BEIJING, May 31 (Xinhua) -- Beijing's service trade volume exceeded 145 billion U.S. dollars in 2016, a year-on-year increase of 10 percent, according to data released at the ongoing China Beijing International Fair for Trade in Services Wednesday.
The city's trade volume in services accounted for more than one percent of the world total, as did its trade volume in goods, which stood at 1.86 trillion yuan (270 billion U.S. dollars) last year, said Xu Zhijun, deputy secretary-general of Beijing municipal government.
The service industry contributed more than 80 percent of Beijing's total output value in 2016. The city's service trade volume accounted for nearly 20 percent of the national total, Xu said.
