BEIJING, Dec.29 (Xinhua) -- Beiqi Foton Motor Co., Ltd (600166.SH) has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China-Africa Development Fund on project investment cooperation in Africa and the Portuguese-speaking countries and regions.
According to the agreement, the two sides will jointly establish an investment platform on handling operation projects in Beiqi Foton Motor’s business in African market, finding investment opportunities in auto production and assembly, distribution network construction, maintenance center construction, as well as import and export and financial lease business, so as to help Chinese auto enterprises to expand African market.
Africa market is one of the most important parts in “go global” strategies of Beiqi Foton Motor Co., Ltd, Wamg Jinyu, general manager of the company said, adding that the contract is designed to boost the growth of the company’s overseas business along with implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative.
