HANOI, Sept. 29 (Xinhua) -- The 10th meeting of the China-Vietnam Economic and Trade Cooperation Committee took place here on Thursday, reaching broad consensus on bilateral economic and trade cooperation.
Both parties agreed that frequent high-level exchanges between leaders of the two countries have pointed out the direction for further developing China-Vietnam comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership and promoting bilateral economic and trade relations.
In recent years, bilateral trade volume has been on the rise, and Chinese enterprises have invested more in Vietnam.
China is willing to work with Vietnam to implement the consensus of leaders of the two sides, actively foster the strategic connection in the framework of China's Belt and Road Initiative and Vietnam's "Two Corridors and One Economic Circle" plan, and constantly deepen the bilateral economic and trade cooperation, said Chinese Vice Minister of Commerce Gao Yan during the meeting.
Vietnamese Vice Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Quoc Khanh, on his part, said Vietnam is willing to work with China to promote bilateral economic and trade relations by solving practical problems, making contribution to the development of the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership of the two countries.
The two sides reached a series of consensus on implementing the five-year plan of China-Vietnam economic and trade cooperation, promoting the balance of bilateral trade, building cross-border economic cooperation zones and Chinese economic cooperation zone in Vietnam, and exchanged views on specific cooperation fields such as trade, finance and large-scale investment projects.
