BEIJING, Aug. 30 (Xinhua) -- The China-Africa industrial parks have soared in number and are developing in the direction of intensification and industrial differentiation, according to a report on African development in 2016-2017 released jointly by the Institute of West-Asian and African Studies under the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the Social Sciences Academic Press on Tuesday.
More than 30 industrial parks established by Chinese enterprises have been put into operation in Africa and more than 70 are under construction. Such parks are located in the African countries that have established diplomatic ties with China, said the report.
Amid the rapid development of China-Africa economic cooperation in recent years, China has become Africa's largest trade partner and third largest investment source.
With the constant expansion of China-Africa economic cooperation, the cooperation model has changed profoundly, with the range of cooperation gradually extending from trade and project contracting to industrial capacity, investment, technology, finance, service and other fields. Of these fields, industrial capacity cooperation has become a trend and key strategic field of China-Africa economic cooperation, according to the report.
