BEIJING, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) -- The No.4 generating unit of Yangjiang nuclear power station, operated by China General Nuclear Power Corporation (CGNPC), has entered grid-accessed operation on Jan. 8.
Upon the operation of this unit, CGNPC has had 20 operational nuclear power generating units.
Construction upon the No.4 unit of Yangjiang nuclear power station was started in November of 2012.
Yangjiang station is so far the largest under-constructed nuclear power project in China. The No.1, No.2, and No.3 units have been performing sound and stable since operation, and the No.5 and No.6 units are under construction. Enditem (Edited by Li Xiaohui, lixh@xinhua.org)
