BEIJING, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- National Energy Administration (NEA) will work with the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) to advance the release of a scheme of deepening reform in the oil and gas system before the end of the year, according to a document released by NEA on Thursday.
Earlier, Nur Bekri, head of the National Energy Administration (NEA), said that after the central government reviews and approves the scheme, the NEA will formulate specific reform programs and supportive documents and carry out comprehensive or special pilot projects for the oil and gas reform in some provinces and cities.
Meanwhile, the energy watchdog also aims to finish formulating the energy system strategic action (2016-2030) and the plan for energy system reform in 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-2020) this year, said the report.
The NEA will accelerate revolution in the energy system, promote pilot projects such as distributed energy source, multi-energy complementation, smart grid, and direct supply of electric power and natural gas, and bring forth innovative energy production and utilization models.
China officially launched the electric power system reform last year.
The country will persistently advance the reform. Before the end of 2018, the NEA will guide some provinces andmunicipalities to carry out pilot reform on the electric power system, promote standard establishment of the trading institutions, accelerate construction of the electricity market and actively advance opening-up of the electricity distribution and sales business.
