China-Nepal Gyirong-Rasuwa Port opens to third countries -- China-Nepal Gyirong-Rasuwa Port has been officially opened to third countries to become an international port, according to the information office of the government of Tibet Autonomous Region. In the future, Nepal and Tibet will strengthen cooperation in fields such as economy, trade, culture and tourism to promote common development.

Cargo train services launched between Yinchuan, Tehran -- The first cargo train linking Yinchuan, capital of northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and Tehran, capital of Iran, began operation on September 5. The train left Yinchuan loaded with more than 560 tonnes of machinery, daily commodities, ceramics and glassware and is scheduled to reach Tehran in about 15 days travelling via Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.

Hainan Airlines to launch flight between Shenzhen, Cairns -- China's Hainan Airlines will operate direct flights between Shenzhen and Cairns starting Dec. 19, according to the airline. The Shenzhen-Cairns route will be the airline's second direct flight to the Australian state of Queensland, following a Shenzhen-Brisbane route scheduled to launch Sept. 20. The new route is also the sixth direct route to Australia by Hainan Airlines.

Chinese investment helps Nepal build mega cement project -- Investment Board Nepal (IBN) and Hongshi-Shivam Cement Private Limited, a Nepal-China joint venture company, signed Project Investment Agreement (PIA) on September 3 to set up a mega cement factory in Nepal. The agreement is the first of its kind in the country for private sector investments. The contract provides protection to the firm investment.

Nepal-China joint venture airline starts Kathmandu-Dammam flight -- Himalaya Airlines, a Nepal-China joint venture airline, started its inaugural flight from Kathmandu to the city of Dammam in Saudi Arabia on night of Sept.1, the airline said on Sept.2. The maiden flight H9 559, bound for Dammam, departed from Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu at 22:30 local time on Friday, according to the airline.

Construction of BRICS bank headquarters starts in Shanghai -- Construction of the permanent headquarters building of the BRICS New Development Bank (NDB) started in the Shanghai Expo Park on Sept. 2 expected to become a landmark building along Huangpu River. "We are extremely grateful to Shanghai, and the NDB is proud to call Shanghai its home. We have been received with great warmth and enjoyed enormous support from the Shanghai Government at each our step," said K.V. Kamath, the NDB President.

Air China to launch direct Beijing-Athens flights this September -- Chinese flagship airline Air China is launching direct flights between Beijing and Athens this September in cooperation with the Athens International Airport (AIA), one more landmark in the bilateral ties which is expected to help bring people of the two nations closer.

CRCC International wins bid for Trinidad and Tobago’s Churchill Roosevelt Highway Overpass -- China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC) International has won the bid for the construction of Churchill Roosevelt Highway Overpass in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago. It is the first infrastructure construction project to be undertaken by a Chinese-funded enterprise in that country.

HQCEC Shymkent Refinery Project Phase 2 almost halfway -- As of August 16, the construction of Phase 2 of Shymkent Refinery Project in Kazakhstan is under way and had almost been halfway. The construction and installation of processing machine and system units like the 2,000,000t/y heavy oil catalytic cracking unit is being advanced rapidly. The Phase 1 of Shymkent Refinery Project in Kazakhstan went into operation on June 30.
