Chinese exhibitors ready to supply high-quality goods to Kyrgyzstan

September 15, 2026

Abstract : The 2026 Kyrgyzstan-China (Xinjiang) Commodity Expo opened on Sept. 10 in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, bringing together representatives of more than 60 Chinese companies from sectors including trade, logistics, finance, agriculture, medicine and construction.

BISHKEK, Sept. 15 (Xinhua Silk Road) -- The 2026 Kyrgyzstan-China (Xinjiang) Commodity Expo opened on Sept. 10 in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, bringing together representatives of more than 60 Chinese companies from sectors including trade, logistics, finance, agriculture, medicine and construction.

The exhibitors were seeking to use the four-day expo as a platform to tap the potential of the Kyrgyz market and bring more high-quality Chinese products to local consumers.

Xinjiang Baishang Intelligent Electrical Co., Ltd., which specializes in the development, production and sale of electrical wires and cables, was among the participating companies.

Cai Kang, the company's sales director, said its main exhibits this year included power cables and fire-resistant cables.

"Electrical safety is a very important issue. We have independently developed fire-resistant cables suitable for high-density areas, including shopping malls, stadiums, and hospitals. These cables have a relatively long service life. They also provide sufficient time for evacuation in the event of a fire," he said.

Cai Kang noted that Kyrgyzstan's construction industry is rapidly developing. Numerous factories and residential buildings are under construction in the country. "Local companies have already invited us for negotiations, and we see great business opportunities in this," he added.

Xinjiang Cengfeng Science and Technology Development Company, which manufactures lighting products and engages in the wholesale clothing business, has also attracted considerable interest at the expo. The company's manager Gu Jia said he was pleased to see numerous customers visit the company's booth within less than two hours after the exhibition's opening.

"We've already received the first pre-orders for our clothing. Some local businessmen are even interested in becoming our sales agents," said Gu Jia, adding that the company is planning to establish a shopping center in Kyrgyzstan in the future, selling Chinese-made household appliances, clothing, and various small goods. "I'm sure local residents will be interested in our products."

"Can you deliver orders?" "Do you offer discounts for bulk orders?" "Our company often needs to purchase large quantities of fruits and vegetables. Could you provide your contact information?"... At one of the exhibition booths, Tang Lan, the head of an international trade company based in Kashgar, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of China, is busy answering various questions from visitors.

"We transport fruits and vegetables grown in Kashgar to Kyrgyzstan. Our most popular products are lettuce, colorful peppers, and cucumbers," said Tang Lan. She hopes to use the exhibition to establish partnerships with local supermarket chains and large businesses, expanding sales of her company's products and enriching the diets of residents of Kyrgyzstan.

The exhibition is crowded with people attracted by the variety of Chinese goods. Bishkek resident Larisa Vagimova learned about the expo by chance.

"I bought several types of cashmere scarves. I liked their quality, affordable prices and the high level of service," she said, adding that she hoped such events would be held more frequently.
