September 01, 2026

Abstract : China and Brunei have further strengthened exchanges and cooperation in sustainable agriculture and rural development through the launch ceremony of the international training course on China's Green Rural Revival Program: Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Economy.

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Aug. 31 (Xinhua) -- China and Brunei have further strengthened exchanges and cooperation in sustainable agriculture and rural development through the launch ceremony of the international training course on China's Green Rural Revival Program: Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Economy.

The launch ceremony on Monday at a hotel near the capital brought together distinguished guests from China and Brunei, including guests from China's Zhejiang Province, Chinese Ambassador to Brunei Chen Shaochun, and Mohammad Harris Haji Ibrahim, permanent secretary at Brunei's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

Brunei is currently advancing the Brunei Vision 2035, with a strong focus on economic diversification and sustainable growth. The country also attaches great importance to food security and the pursuit of more efficient, sustainable agricultural development.

Zhejiang's hands-on experience in green rural revitalization and sustainable agriculture provides meaningful insights for Brunei's relevant development priorities.

Scheduled to take place in Zhejiang this September 2026, the international training program on sustainable agriculture and rural economy under China's Green Rural Revival Program will host Bruneian professionals from agriculture and rural development sectors for a 10-day study and exchange program.
