The Posidonia China Night was held at the sidelines of Posidonia 2026 in Athens on the evening of June 3, showcasing the achievements made by China's shipbuilding industry, represented by China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited (CSSC), in fields of green and low-carbon technologies and digital intelligence.
The event was jointly organized by the Embassy of China in Greece, CSSC and China Economic Information Service, aiming to build a high-level platform integrating CSSC brand promotion, industry dialogue and business matching.
Presently, the global maritime industry is at a pivotal juncture, where opportunities and challenges coexist. Rising geopolitical dynamics and stricter regulatory requirements are reshaping the course of the industry's development. At the same time, the transition toward greener, low-carbon and digitally empowered maritime operations is accelerating.
In response to these changes, CSSC promoted its CSSC Global Service (CSGS) brand at the event. Firstly introduced in December 2025, the CSGS provides full life-cycle services and one-stop global service solution for the shipping industry. It covers five core professional services, namely ship retrofit and upgrading, marine power services, electromechanical equipment maintenance, digital and intelligent operations, and full-range ship repair.
With the vision of becoming a world-class one-stop lifecycle service expert for vessels, CSSC is continuously expanding its global service network to deliver efficient, reliable, sustainable and customer-oriented solutions to shipowners worldwide.
Meanwhile, the CSSC Digital Intelligence Service Platform, launched alongside the CSGS, integrates fleet intelligent operation monitoring, visualized maintenance management, technical knowledge base, online expert support, spare parts e-commerce and crew training. This all-in-one digital system enables efficient, transparent and precise full-lifecycle vessel management.
On the opening day of the Posidonia 2026, CSSC inaugurated its Greece Representative Office in Athens, marking a significant step in strengthening CSSC's presence in the high-end European maritime market, enhancing its global strategic footprint. The office will serve as a strategic hub based in Greece and extending across Europe as well as a two-way bridge of cooperation.
Under the theme "Green Innovation, Blue Intelligence", the CSSC made a strong presence at the Posidonia 2026, showcasing innovations and achievements in areas including green shipping, high-end cruise tourism, digital and intelligent upgrading, and integrated service ecosystems. A range of flagship products were also showcased at the exhibition.
