BEIJING, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- The 2025 World Internet Conference (WIC) Wuzhen Summit will be powered by 100 percent green electricity, marking the third consecutive year of this achievement, said a staff with the State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power Supply Company.
To secure green energy for the 4-day event which takes place in East China's Zhejiang Province from Nov. 6 to 9, the summit's organizers, with support from State Grid Zhejiang, purchased 510 green certificates, which could guarantee over 500,000 kWh of clean power for all venues.
Over 900 public charging piles and 2,600 private charging points, alongside smart mobile charging robots, will form a "5-minute charging circle" during the event, according to the grid company.
Furthermore, solar panels installed across the ancient water town of Wuzhen will supply renewable energy, with their operation monitored in real time by State Grid's digital system, further ensuring the summit's low-carbon footprint. (Edited by Liu Yilu)
