BEIJING, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- In central China-located Luoyang City, a "China Copper Industry Cup"-themed competition on management skills of team leaders of overseas Chinese-funded companies was held from October 20 to 22.
The competition drew about 60 participants of 11 overseas teams from eight countries.

By setting sessions on theory examination, on-site operation and position-competing speech, the 2.5-day long contest tested particularly front-line managers' general management ability and production management skills to facilitate high-quality development of overseas Chinese-funded enterprises.
After rounds of competition, seven gold medalists, 13 silver medalists and 20 bronze medalists came out and teams from Minera Chinalco Perú and Myanmar Wanbao Mining Copper Ltd. secured gold prizes.

During the competition, overseas team leaders watched similar competitions for their Chinese colleagues and via on-site learning, they were delighted to gain more experience from Chinese team leaders' teamwork and procedure optimization.
In a talent-show session of the closing ceremony, a traditional folk art performance in Luoyang called "Heluo Drum Ballad" and the group dancing "Happy Peruvians" brought by staff of Minera Chinalco Perú energized the crowds present at the competition.

Another group dancing "Guinea, Our Paradise" performed by employees of Chalco Guinea and the solo "Grateful Heart" in Chinese by an employee from Sinoma (Suzhou) Construction Co., Ltd.'s subsidiary in Nigeria teemed with vigor and heart-touching feelings, well interpreting harmony between peoples.
During the breaks, team leaders of overseas Chinese-funded enterprises took a leisurely stroll in Luoyi ancient city of Luoyang, visited the Wenfeng Pagoda and ancient city walls dating back to Jin and Yuan dynasties, and tried paper-cutting and other Chinese intangible cultural heritage handicraft.

As a youth from Chalco Guinea said, walking on the blue flagstone road and listening to introduction of the ancient capital city's history impressed him much with the charm of the Chinese culture.
The 2025 "China Copper Industry Cup" overseas enterprise localized team leader comprehensive management skills competition was co-sponsored by Aluminum Corporation of China (Chinalco), China Nonferrous Metal Industry Talent Center and China Copper Corporation.
