August 27, 2025

Abstract : The "Radiant Stars: Lingjiatan Culture Photo Exhibition from Anhui, China," co-organized by the Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh, the Anhui Museum, and the Bangladesh National Museum, was inaugurated here on Monday, drawing an audience of over 600.

DHAKA, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- The "Radiant Stars: Lingjiatan Culture Photo Exhibition from Anhui, China," co-organized by the Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh, the Anhui Museum, and the Bangladesh National Museum, was inaugurated here on Monday, drawing an audience of over 600.

Attendees included Syeda Rizwana Hasan, adviser to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and the Ministry of Water Resources of Bangladesh, and Sun Yong, vice governor of China's Anhui Province, together with representatives from Chinese enterprises, overseas Chinese associations in Bangladesh, local friendship organizations, as well as teachers and students.

Through 50 display panels marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Bangladesh and 38 sets of jade replicas, the exhibition presents a comprehensive picture of the rich historical heritage and profound cultural significance of the Lingjiatan site.

Sun said that this exhibition serves as a vibrant window into Anhui's splendid culture and a grand feast of China-Bangladesh cultural exchange, providing a valuable opportunity for the peoples of both countries to enhance mutual understanding and friendship.

For her part, Rizwana said that this exhibition is not only about art and heritage - it is a dialogue between two nations and a celebration of friendship.

"This exhibition should mark not an end, but a beginning," said Rizwana. "Moving forward, I see three responsibilities: preserving cultural heritage together, promoting cultural literacy among youth, and advancing people-to-people connectivity."

The exhibition, running until Sept. 26, also saw the Anhui Museum donate 17 sets of cultural and creative products to the Bangladesh National Museum and the signing of a cooperation memorandum between the two museums.
